Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel, you immediately sense this is a place that takes itself seriously — in the best possible way. The lobby has that polished luxury feel without being intimidating, and honestly, the staff’s attention to detail becomes apparent within minutes of checking in. This five-star property sits right in Luohu district, and I mean right where you want to be if you’re doing business or exploring the city. The building itself commands respect on Jiabin Road, and you can tell from the moment you arrive that this isn’t just another international chain going through the motions.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel’s positioning — you’re essentially in the heart of everything that matters in this part of the city. Luohu is where a lot of the action happens, especially if you’re crossing back and forth to Hong Kong or need to be near the main business districts. The hotel scored an 8.8 for location, and honestly, that makes perfect sense when you’re staying here. Couples seem to get it too — they rated the spot 9.1, probably because there’s actually stuff to do within walking distance, plus the luxury of having your own car sorted since parking is free and private.
The Luxury Experience
What strikes me about this place is how they’ve managed to create that premium five-star atmosphere without it feeling stuffy or overly formal. The rooms have that refined elegance you’d expect, but there’s also a practical comfort that makes you want to actually spend time there rather than just crash for the night. The service feels genuinely attentive — not hovering, just present when you need something. You know what’s interesting? They have more repeat guests than most other properties, which tells you something about how people feel after staying here once.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast buffet is one of those experiences that actually makes getting up early worth it. I’m talking about a spread that covers both international options and local flavors, so whether you’re craving something familiar or want to dive into Cantonese specialties, you’re covered. The quality is consistently high — not just the usual hotel buffet situation where half the stuff sits under heat lamps too long. The dining area itself has good natural light, and the service during breakfast hours runs smoothly even when the place is packed with business travelers and tourists.
Why Guests Love It
The Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel works because it delivers on the luxury promise without the pretense. You get the five-star amenities and service standards, but in a setting that feels approachable and genuinely comfortable. The location puts you right where you need to be in Shenzhen, the parking situation is actually hassle-free, and the overall experience feels polished rather than manufactured. Those repeat guests aren’t coming back by accident — this place has figured out how to make luxury hospitality feel both impressive and welcoming, which isn’t as easy as it sounds.

The room is clean, and locations near the shopping area.
Hoi from Hong Kong (9/10)
My room was ready as early as 12:30pm and allowed for late check-out till 4pm.
Although the exterior of the building looks old, the interior of the king suite on club floor is nicely renovated. The room is very clean and spacious with a nicely designed living room and an additional toilet for a family of 4. The bed and sofa are comfortable.
Staff at concierge are helpful and polite.
The location is convenient and centrally located, and very close to Dongmen pedestrian street.
The buffet breakfast at 50/F was amazing, with a fantastic view which oversees the nearby area, and there was wide selection of food choices.Richard from Canada (9/10)
Proximity to Luohu border (from Hong Kong) therefore very convenient (1 metro stop), and the KingGlory Mall is a 5 min walk with everything you need (shops, restaurant, and B2 level connects to metro line 1). Location is great! Rooms are spacious, and well furnished. Breakfast is buffet style mainly Chinese foods but overall great quality. All staff we encountered were super helpful.

Richard from Canada (9/10)
Updated hotel and now looks pretty modern. A lot of marble. There is restaurant on 50 floor and it rotates although when we have breakfast up there on Saturday it did not rotate. Good view of city. Thanks to Martin Poon with excellent service! Short walk to subway at the shopping mall and it is one stop to Luohu border to Hong Kong. If you take taxi it is rmb 12 plus any extra for large luggage.
