Oriental Ginza Hotel Shenzhen Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Oriental Ginza Hotel Shenzhen, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical business hotel — there’s something distinctly refined about the place that sets it apart from the usual Shenzhen hotel scene. The lobby has this understated elegance that whispers rather than shouts, which honestly feels refreshing in a city where everything tends to be supersized. You know what struck me most? The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, and I mean that literally — not just reading it off a computer screen.
Location & Getting Around
The location on Shennan Boulevard West is actually brilliant if you know Shenzhen at all. Being near Zhu Zi Lin metro station means you’re connected to the entire city without being stuck in the chaos of the absolute center. I’ve stayed here a few times now (apparently I’m not alone — they have tons of repeat guests), and what I love is how you can walk to some excellent local spots that most tourists never discover. The five-star treatment extends to the complimentary parking, which might not sound exciting until you’ve tried finding a decent parking spot anywhere else in Futian district.
The Room Experience
The room itself feels more like a sophisticated urban retreat than a standard hotel stay. Everything’s designed with this attention to detail that you don’t always get, even at luxury properties — the lighting actually works for both relaxing and getting work done, the bed is genuinely comfortable (not just expensive-looking), and the bathroom has that spa-like quality without being pretentious about it. What really impressed me was how quiet everything stays, despite being on a major boulevard.
Dining & Amenities
The hotel’s restaurant serves both international and Cantonese cuisine, and honestly, the dim sum here rivals what you’ll find at some of the city’s standalone establishments. I mean, you’re not going to write home about revolutionary flavors, but it’s consistently good and the service is impeccable. The spa facilities are where this place really shines — it’s one of those rare hotel spas that feels like a destination rather than an afterthought, with treatments that actually help you unwind from the intensity of Shenzhen’s pace.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a place that couples rate so highly for romantic getaways (apparently they give it a 9.0), yet works equally well for business travelers. I think it comes down to the hotel striking this perfect balance between luxury and livability — you feel pampered without feeling like you’re in some sterile five-star bubble. The fact that so many guests return speaks volumes, and after experiencing the genuine warmth of the service and the thoughtful touches throughout the property, you start to understand why people develop a loyalty to this place that goes beyond just convenient booking.

Reviews of Oriental Ginza Hotel Shenzhen
旻霖 from Taiwan (9/10)
I like their location next to the MRT and the view is nice to have. Another reason is their breakfast having the traditional one, steamed rice roll.
Ezfahme from Australia (8/10)
It is just 2 minutes walk from Zhuzilin subway station exit B.
Jasmine from Malaysia (6/10)
Ask for non-smoking room…but still can smell the smoke especially at the corridor.
The room is quite clean, but it's time to do the renovation. Unpleasant odor in the room. Upon entering, a strong, stale odor hits me.
If we add an additional 200~300++, we can stay at a 5 star hotel. We are staying here because it is convenient for public transportation only.Gianluca from Italy (6/10)
Position near subway
Jim from Australia (8/10)
This hotel is directly in front of a subway entrance. The subway system has 11 tracks that are named in English as well as Chinese. By carrying a subway map i could always find my way back to the hotel.
