What couples seem to love (and the 9.5 location rating from pairs backs this up) is how you can easily reach both the shopping districts and some surprisingly good local restaurants without feeling like you’re stuck in a sterile business zone.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was on the 28th floor, and honestly, the views over the city skyline were pretty spectacular, especially at night when everything lights up. But you know what really impressed me? The bed — and I’m someone who usually struggles to sleep well in hotels. There’s something about the mattress quality and the way they’ve set up the lighting that actually helps you wind down. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower and tub, plus those little touches like the heated floors that make you feel properly pampered.

Dining and Amenities

Breakfast here is actually worth getting up for, which I can’t say about every luxury hotel. They do a proper buffet spread with both Continental and American options, but what I appreciated was the quality of the local items too — you’re not stuck with generic international hotel food. The restaurant options throughout the property are solid, though honestly, with Shenzhen’s incredible dining scene right outside, I found myself exploring the neighborhood more often than not. Free parking is available, which is a genuine relief in this part of the city where finding a spot can be a nightmare.

  This excellent hotel is located in one of the centers of Shenzhen. Large department stores are only a few hundred meters away. There is a huge selection of restaurants and bars in the area. There are two metro lines nearby, which provide quick transportation to all parts of the city.
  The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with a wide selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. The hotel has a good outdoor pool.
  The staff is very helpful and accommodating. They provided us with a hotel limousine for the trip to the airport in HongKong.

  The hotel is great. We have made a reservation for a Grand Four Seasons Room and were offered a free
  upgrade to a magnificent suite with a separate living room on the 27th floor. All staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Special thanks to a concierge who was very kind to help with the currency exchange on a public holiday and arranged the booking for a ferry tickets to Shenzhen.
