The Room Experience

My room was on the 12th floor, and the view gave me a nice slice of the city skyline without being overwhelming. The bed was properly comfortable — not too soft, not too firm — and the air conditioning actually worked well, which you definitely appreciate during Shenzhen’s humid months. What caught my attention was how thoughtfully laid out everything was; there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the bathroom had decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re traveling).

I found myself going back for the congee more mornings than I care to admit. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re not a morning person, either get there early or wait until after 9 when the business travelers have cleared out.
