Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to the Civic Center in about ten minutes, and the shopping at COCO Park is practically next door. The couples who stay here absolutely rave about the location, and I get it. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but the hotel itself feels like a quiet retreat from the city buzz. The parking situation is actually fantastic too — they offer free private parking, which is honestly a godsend in this part of town where finding a spot can be a nightmare.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was on the 15th floor, and the city views were pretty impressive, especially at night when all the LED lights on the surrounding buildings come alive. The space felt modern and clean, with that typical business hotel efficiency — everything you need without unnecessary frills. The bed was comfortable enough, and I actually slept well despite being right in the middle of such a busy area. The soundproofing is better than you’d expect.

Breakfast and Dining

The breakfast spread surprised me in the best way possible. They’ve got this mix of Italian options, Asian dishes, and vegetarian choices that actually work well together — not just the usual hotel buffet afterthoughts. The congee was particularly good, and they make decent coffee, which isn’t always a given in Chinese hotels. If you’re running late, they’ll even pack breakfast to go, which saved me more than once during my stay. There’s also a restaurant on-site, though I ended up exploring the neighborhood food scene most evenings.

  I had a fantastic experience at Skylight Hotel in Shenzhen. The hotel is in a great location, close to major attractions and public transport. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shenzhen – great service and value for money!

  The location was very convenient. Very near to the metro station Huaqiang Road exit B on Line 1, just a 3min walk. Opposite the hotel, you can find small eateries if you do not wish to eat at the in-house restaurants or if they're closed. Security and safety in Shenzhen have vastly improved since our last time here in 2007. The electronics market in Huaqiang Bei is also within walking distance or you can choose to use taxis or the metro to stations Huaqiang North or Huaqiang South stations depending on your destinations. Afternoon tea is indeed free and the in-room minibar, consisting of 2 cans of soft drinks and many bottles of drinking water, is also indeed free. The staff ís friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again
