Fortune Land Shenzhen Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Fortune Land Shenzhen, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something well-thought-out. The lobby has this polished, modern vibe without being stuffy — honestly, it strikes that perfect balance between professional and welcoming. What caught my attention right away was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests, not just going through the motions. You know what I mean? There’s a difference, and you feel it here.
Location & Getting Around
The hotel sits on Xuefu Road in Nanshan district, and I have to say, this area really works for travelers. Shenzhen can feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to stay, but Nanshan puts you close to the tech hub without the chaos of downtown. What’s great is that couples seem to really appreciate this spot — and after spending time here, I get why. The neighborhood has this nice mix of local restaurants and international options, plus you’re not fighting crazy traffic to get anywhere interesting. The parking situation is actually refreshing too — it’s free, which is honestly rare for a four-star hotel in this city.
The Room Experience
My room was spacious in a way that surprised me — Shenzhen hotels can be hit or miss with space, but this one gets it right. The design feels contemporary without trying too hard, and the bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses). What I really appreciated were the little touches: good lighting for actually reading, enough outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a cramped airplane. The soundproofing works well too, which matters when you’re in a busy district like this.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is actually impressive — they’ve got continental options, a proper buffet, and even grab-and-go choices if you’re rushing out. I mean, that covers pretty much every travel scenario, right? The buffet has a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes, and the quality is consistently solid. What I liked was that it didn’t feel like they were just checking boxes — the food tastes fresh, and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. The restaurant area itself is bright and comfortable, not one of those cramped hotel dining spaces that make you want to eat elsewhere.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a 9.5 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying here, it makes sense. It’s that combination of getting the basics perfect — comfortable rooms, good location, reliable service — while adding those extra touches that make your stay smoother. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, the facilities work as advertised, and you’re positioned well to explore Shenzhen without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. For the price point and quality level, it’s honestly one of those hotels that just works without any drama or disappointments.

The hotel is very good value for money. Very clean, big rooms. At check in they accept western credit cards (Mastercard, Visa). At least one member of staff we spoke to spoke English, other used translator on the phone to communicate which works very well, so check-in and out was smooth.
10 mins from metro Daixin (in Chinese 大新). This is the closest metro station. It is Green Line (Line 1), second stop after changing from line 11, which goes from the airport. It makes the location super convenient to visit the city. Total time from the airport to the hotel by metro took us under 45 min, ticket price 5 Yen per trip. You can exchange money to get cash at the airport. A lot of food options around: both street food and restaurants.Yoke from Malaysia (10/10)

Very modern and spacious room with a great view. I did not book the hotel breakfast. Instead I went to the lovely coffee & bar "Coffee Whiskey Cake" shop directly across the street. Also great for a drink in the evening.
